We are excited to offer our residents who reside in section 8 (HCV), public housing, and the community at large (based on income) the opportunity to apply for a scholarship to continue the pursuit of their educational goals and who will be attending a trade or vocational school or 2 – 4-year college/university (See our Facebook page for all the latest news on the Scholarship Advancement Fund's opening and closing).

*Students must upload the following with their application:
*Transcripts or GED certificate
*500-word essay on why you need the scholarship and how it will help you
*A current headshot
*A one to two-minute video to introduce yourself to the committee. Some suggestions (talk about hobbies, clubs or organizations you belong to, volunteer work, jobs)

Scholarships will be awarded in the following categories:

The (TBN) Scholarship Award: $500.00
Eligibility: Must have obtained a GED or have a GPA of 2.00 -2.99

The (TBN) Scholarship Award: $1000.00 
Eligibility: Must have a GPA of 3.00 - 3.99

The Apostle Lawrence G. Campbell Scholarship Fund (through the Womack Foundation)
Eligibility: Must have a GPA of 3.00 - 3.99

The Dr. Zachary P. Hairston Scholarship Award: $2000.00
Eligibility: Must have a GPA of 4.00 and up

Additionally, our public housing and section 8 residents looking for job and training resources, such as uniforms, special equipment for employment, transportation assistance, and other resources, may apply for up to $200.00 in assistance when funds are available.
