DANVILLE, VA- The Danville Redevelopment and Housing Authority is expanding its Center For Housing Education (CFHE) into Martinsville, VA. The DRHA’s Center For Housing Education is the chief resource for residents and the community to get a myriad of financial counseling services. Services that include credit and debt management, rental counseling, and home-buying assistance. These services are an integral part of providing wrap-around services for residents.
With DRHA housing services already extending into Martinsville, it was a natural fit to have another division of CFHE established for the convenience of those residing in the area. CEO and executive director Larissa stated is the vision of DRHA is to become a partner in revitalizing housing, not just in Danville but in the surrounding communities and jurisdictions. And we are excited about becoming a part of the housing success stories in Martinsville.”
DRHA will host a ribbon cutting event on Thursday, March 4th, at the new location, 51 Church Street East, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Lunch will be served to those who attend the Kentucky Derby-themed event. Mint Julep mocktails and a chance to bet on a horse race for charity will be included in the celebration of this new expansion.
